5 Rad Wedding Venues in Oregon // My Bucket List Venues
Oh how I have been anxious to write this post about my bucket list wedding venues here in Oregon.
There are so many incredible venues here in Oregon and I often get asked “have you shot at this venue before?” when a client reaches out. I have had the pleasure of documenting so many weddings at different venues but one day I thought it would be fun to do some “market research” and pin down a few venues I would love to shoot at, venues that INSPIRE me!
I also get asked if I prefer to shoot indoor or outdoor venues and to be honest, I don’t think I have an overall preference .. it really just comes down to the overall vibe and atmosphere that really inspires me. The architecture, light, details & comfort of a venue matter to me. I have the equipment to shoot indoor or outdoor, awesome natural light or off camera flash (that looks good) … you name it!
So without further a-do … here is my bucket list of Oregon Wedding Venues (in no particular order) I would LOVE to shoot a wedding at!
Blockhouse PDX

As a fellow lover of plants and unique urban spaces, this small venue is stunning, charming and inspires so much creativity from me. You don’t need a huge space to create beautiful portraits. This venue has clean lines, simple details and gorgeous green spaces.
If you’re looking for a smaller/intimate wedding they can handle between 60-120 guests depending on the spaces you choose, check out this venue! Their website has a great FAQ page to get you started but I am here to tell you as a visual artist … this venue is rad!

Let me just start by picking my jaw up off the floor! This space is so so sooooo good! My goal is to do a styled shoot here soon because I absolutely MUST! I was introduced to this location last year when a bride of mine was choosing between this location and The Sentinel and they decided The Sentinel but I am still in awe of this super awesome venue.
I don’t even need to tell you why, but … The rooftop view the city lights, the incredible ballroom with beautiful details/fixtures, endless creative ideas jump straight to mind rain or shine… it’s FRESH!
Columbia Gorge Hotel

The Columbia River Gorge is a worldwide destination … yeah, it’s really that cool! Heading in to Hood River, Oregon you can’t miss the beautiful Columbia Gorge Hotel right on the river side and with outstanding views. The charm of this venue is endless with exquisite indoor and outdoor options . If you’re really looking to impress yours guests … this is the venue!
Wonser Woods Estate

Ok so this one is a little different, I was lucky enough to get invited to second shoot for one of my favorite photographers here in the PNW Dionne Kraus Photography, we met at a workshop last year, totally vibe and have grown a real mom-prenuer friendship.
But back to the venue, Wonser Woods Estate is incredible in so many ways from the beautiful estate surrounded by Christmas trees, the views of Mt. Hood, the perfect landscaping and more. They have space for your wedding party to rent the bed & breakfast for the weekend so if you can do that in your budget I highly recommend it! Spending the weekend with your wedding party is amazing and having everything in once place instead of transporting it the morning of is a true stress reliever … it’s all already there! The owners are also incredibly sweet and attentive and made sure all the vendors knew where everything was (so helpful).

Just looking at the mood in these awesome images is enough to make my eyes as big as my face. This venue screams PORTLAND, Oregon to me and I am here for it! This space can be transformed in so many ways with the right vendors … I see urban elegance .. I also love the surrounding views and am inspired by all the industrial backgrounds and setting for the perfect Portland, couple! I may not have a wedding booked for this venue just yet but I am hoping to be a vendor here this Fall for the Committed:
Founded in 2011, COMMITTED! has been the Rose City's most celebrated wedding event. COMMITTED! was the first and only alternative wedding event of it's kind and the first to publicly announce it's support of marriage equality. The team of #LuxeProductions hosts a vibrantly "Portland" event with a montage of 60-70+ of the areas best wedding pros, all showcasing their services in one big dark and moody celebration.
