I have seen red wine poured over the bride before formal portraits (images included in this blog), I have seen rain spots all over bridesmaids dresses, buttons pop on wedding gowns (even really expensive wedding gowns), rings that didn’t make it to the ceremony … the list goes on and while I really hope you don’t have any emergencies, it’s better to be safe than sorry … right!?!

Originally planning a larger wedding, they ended up deciding on keeping it small and simple. The outcome was an absolutely perfect and intimate rustic wedding. They were surrounded by their immediate friends and family while they exchanged their own written vows leaving each other in tears.

On this day the wind was blowing around 50mph in the gorge and there was almost no chance for outdoor portraits but the lighting in this home was so beautiful and we were able to sneak out for a couple shots without being blown away.

Meghan & Sam contacted me just a couple months before their wedding and told me all about their small and simple wedding. Their main priority was to make sure their families were able to enjoy the event in a small gathering that included some delicious food, board games to play and stay entertained as the bride and groom made their way around to each table to greet their guests and enjoy some fabulous music. They ended the night with a glow stick send-off and it was a hit!
